Lambeth does Victoria Park Run Through

Lambeth runners had a great start to 2022 with a 10k race. We met early in the morning in Victoria Park to get our race numbers and timer chips. The weather was beautiful but freezing so after a quick catch up about our best and worst Christmas presents we joined the group warm up. At 10.05 the gun went off and we started our 3 lap course. we were cheered along by marshals with tambourines, a one man steel band and Beth cheering at the finish line. It was a fantastic race, with lots of PBs and first time racers, over the finish line we celebrated with a beer and vegan flapjack before heading to pub for a delicious roast and a jug of gravey each.
