Report written by Rob Riley (he/him)
Fresh from parkrun, Helen and I headed over to Rosebank gardens for some litter picking.
Unfortunately there was a lot of litter to pick today , which seemed like it could have been remnants of the night before.
Undettered by the amount of litter , we set off around the gardens and got to work filling our bags of rubbish. This week we had the help of a four-legged friend, Doogle, who assisted by carrying extra bags and helped us find the rubbish.
Among the strangest finds was a childrens bicycle, which was a bit too bulky to fit in the bag.
In a little over an hour we managed to fill 5 bags of rubbish! Its made a real difference so we will visit again soon to make sure we keep on top of it. We could always do with extra hands :)
Next week: Come and join us at Woodhouse Moor parkrun for their 700th event.

We are a small charity with limited resources, so jobs like this often fall by the wayside. It helps us to continue to focus on our core work, but also with compost, it means we can have less inputs and save money
