Another blimming freezing night, one of those nights where the only way to warm up is to leg it around for a bit. That's exactly what we did.

A respectable 10 runners , out on a mission to complete the regeneration of a drab, dreary, abandoned patch of land.

Laces as promised were handed out. Sharon got some, as she brought her 'friend' Kevin last week (blame Tim for bringing this up!). Violeta, I have some laces for you too! Anyone else want these once in a lifetime, limited edition laces? Made from the silk of a Himalayan Spider and dyed red with Dragon blood, these are a one off. So...please do bring a friend.

Two groups covering the couple miles to Boleyn Rd, with the speed merchants leading the charge. Much more hands on work this week, with some hardcore axing, a bit of fire stoking, lots of raking, some rolling of weed membrane and other stuff I've forgotten...

Rodrigo, Becky and Tim took care of the pick axing action. Looked pretty cathartic actually, i quite fancied a swing! You guys cleaned up the border pretty sharpish. But I think we all know who is Queen of the pick axe, Myra. Good Lord, that lady can swing with the best of them. Reckon she was the village executioner in a past life.

Siobhan and Karen took care of the fire, burning it down a little more after last week's inferno! Kevin and James lined up the membrane like construction workers, then rolled it out like pros. The garden, for the first time was starting to take shape. You could finally appreciate all the hours of labour that had been put into it. That's what it's all about, I personally felt really satisfied and proud with what I saw last night. Nice one team.

A jog back to base and then off for the monthly social (last Wednesday of the month). A drink and a very hearty Italian-American sandwich to cap off some impressive work and a nice evening.

Catch you'll next week, helping out at mobile garden city!
