Our Tuesday Group Run took us to GrowBaby where we wanted to help Tanya and the team. She just had some shelving units delivered but couldn't build them as there wasn't enough room to swing a mallet. GoodGym to the rescue! We formed a chain and passed out a pile of cots and moses baskets from one corner and Isofix bases and travel cots from the other. The amount of things were piled up so Tanya and Melissa could work out what was to keep, what could be mended and what was headed for the tip.

Dave, Matt and Tom pored over the shelving instructions and all was going well until we realised that even though we had made room to swing a mallet, we had, in fact, forgotten to bring one. Small things like the right tools for the job didn't stop us and they were even more determined to get the job done. Soon it was time to bring things back down and with Marie-Noelle's eye for a tidy pile, we brought down and sorted things neatly so things could be found easily. Claire and Petra even had time to go through some of the dates on the tubs of formula, just to make sure things were prepared for opening the next day.

The hour went quickly and there was lots of heavy lifting but shared between our strong group meant that it didn't seem such a big job. We even had time for some team photos. 'Grab something useful' said Marie-Noelle with the phone in her hand and Tanya grabbed me, which made me laugh.

Thanks for a fun and productive evening out, GrowBaby. There's two more shelving units to create so we'll see you soon with a mallet just to make things slightly easier!
