Give it some welly

An epic group of GoodGymmers met at Papa's Park (the home of GG Lambeth) to help with their community clean-up today.

We were quickly assigned to tasks by the lovely Valcie and got busy on a variety of jobs to make Papa's Park nice and tidy. From clearing out cupboards and sheds (and discovering an assortment of miscellaneous items there - electric blanket or 10 pairs of children's wellies, anyone?!) to pruning trees, weeding the vegetable patch (impressive squash find Sarah!) to clearing the gutters (extra-special thanks to the heroes who did that job) to pulling bindweed (our favourite!) to raking leaves (it's beginning to feel a lot like autumn!), this team of champions did a great job and made a HUGE difference.

After an hour's hard work, Valcie was delighted and treated us to juice, fruit, hot drinks and banana cake (yum!) as a reward for our efforts.
