After a starting mishap of half of us arriving at the wrong park down the road (opps!) we all manged to find our way, don our painting gear and get to it.

The paint specially designed for railings was like painting with tar and slow going, but on a fresh (slightly sunny) day with amazing views over the Mersey, the Beatles on loud speaker, and amongst the famous (and really pretty) Bread Streets we weren't complaining!

We joined in with the neighbours and were treated to cake and fruit and fab company. The local neighbourhood group are working really hard to do up the park and there is a clear sense of community, pride and love in the area.

We are planning a few more visits over the coming months (we did get cake after all!) So watch this space for more dates...

Hi Phillip, there is still a lot of painting to be done so we hope to make a return visit soon - keep an eye out for it!
