Curtain Call

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Cardiff.

On a cold and crisp Autumn day, I made my way to Ms A’s house. On arrival, she explained that she had two sets of curtains to put up in the kitchen and bedroom.

First job was to work out how many curtain rings and how to space the curtain hooks. Something that should have been essy - but wasn’t! Having put the curtains up, Ms A thought they were sitting a bit low at the kitchen window so down they came and we adjusted the hooks to a higher setting. Alas - when they were up, the hooks kept popping out of the curtain rings. Down they came and we adjusted back again! This time the curtains were hanging perfectly!

We had a chat about the local area. Ms A had lived there for a number of years. Who knew that there used to be an airport close to the centre of Cardiff?!

We popped upstairs and repeated with the bedroom curtains. The room would be nice and warm for Ms A now.

Ms A seemed happy with the curtains and we said goodbye.
