Back at the allotment and in goes some veggies

It was a busy evening at the allotment last night. With the old daffodils out and new veggies in. We also welcomed Andrew to his first mission last night. We hope you had an enjoyable evening.

The end of the allotment finally got some love last night with Liam digging out weeds and myself and James clearing out the compost and removing the mound of garden waste.

Anne, Maya and Becky were busy removing weeds from the main part of the allotment. Also thank you to Becky who provided us with some sweet treats - we all clearly love smarties! Also thank you to Christine (a friend of James) who brought us over some jugs of squash and cups to help keep us hydrated!

The potatoes we put into the ground last month were finally sprouting so we dug them over to help push more potatoes down! We also planted some runner beans, broad beans and artichokes.

A big well done to every one, as part of mental health week - nothing can beat an evening in the garden.

Next Week

We will be meeting at WWF carpark for some litter picking along the canal and in the nearby park areas. Don't forget your gloves!
