15 minutes before the task I received a message from Emmanuella saying

Hi Madhan. I'm Emmanuela Just got back from work. I'm not feeling well. So signing out of the mission.

With one person down, I went to Ealing Soup Kitchen and couldn't see Steph, who was doing all three shifts today.

All the tables have been folded except one. The chairs are arranged and all the clients have left. The kitchen cleaning was 60% completed.

Usually, the cleanup process starts at 3 p.m. But today they started a bit earlier. I cleaned the only remaining table, folded it, and put it in place.

The soup kitchen was cleaning out the freezer and found quite a lot of Magnum Ice cream bars. All the volunteers had a go at 1/2 bar each and treated themselves. I had an ice cream the last time I went there as well 😋

Then I took out the food waste bins and gave them a deep clean before putting them back. Steph on the other hand was cleaning the kitchen and arranging the cutleries.

The final thing left was to mop the dining area and kitchen. I mopped the dining area and once the kitchen volunteers left, Steph mopped that.

All done and we wrapped up by 3:50 p.m. Arul, a soup kitchen volunteer, still hasn't got over her keys after losing them two weeks back. Also, there were no leftover vegetables this time for us to bake a cake

You cannot not love ice cream and it would be rude not to have one....or two 😂😂 especially when working in the super hot kitchen.
