During a stint at City Harvest, one of the tasks needed was sorting out a pallet full of peppers, some of which were passed their best.

2 hours of pepper picking later, and the good, the bad and the very furry and mushy were sorted! The bad ones were being sent for pig food, so although not everything could be saved for humans to eat, hopefully the pigs will be happy!

Plenty of other tasks to do today too, including de-bagging huge sacks of potatoes and onions to make them more manageable to get back out.

Thanks Jenni. I forgot my phone so delighted to see your 'peck of putrid peppers' photo.
Sadly, I think the Pig Man has decided not to take the veg anymore. 'My pigs won't eat that' was apparently his comment last week after surveying crate upon crate of mouldering veggies. Have his porkers have developed a taste for more upmarket left overs such as Gail's bread?
