After a glorious Saturday basked in the sunshine, waking up on a Sunday morning was a different story. Yet, the Greenford Carnival wasn't going to be washed away with a bit of rain. Preparing for his run over, Sam realised that Ravenor Park in Greenford was not as close as he thought and add that with the bad weather, he opted for the bus to get him there in half the time. Great effort from Lionel (who has volunteered at the Greenford Carnival in the past and is now one of the organisers) and Sam for showing up bright and early on a Sunday. There were plenty of tasks to be done from putting up notice boards at every entrance of the park to setting up marquees, these GGers were kept busy at all time. It is often the case when you have limited time to setup a festival. Yet, with coordination and great use of Lionel's car (which we only had for an hour), we managed to complete the task with ten minutes to spare before the Carnival kicked off. It was an immense effort from these GGers and they were very proud to get involved in such community missions and make a difference. Onto the next task!
