30 runners shifted 6 tons of wood chip in 15 minutes, completed a core workout session and a 6k run

The second of our two week project at Hollybush Estate was one of our larger tasks of late. Our group leader Mark inform us they may only be enough time for our task this evening, not that saddened any of the 30 do gooders who are always happy to see Margaret and her crew at the estate.

The challenge was set, we had to finish - run or no run. We descended to 6 tonnes of mulch to be shifted to an area of the estate's garden we cleared in preparation last week. The thought of not having a run along the beloved Regent's canal clearly had us motivated - within 15 minutes we were cleared.

Split roughly into three equal teams each one of us shovelled, wheelbarrowed or raked 6000kg of mulch.

The time we got back we spent in Ion square gardens with a core workout of lunges, squats and mountain climbers, cue grunting noises for 15 minutes and a "really feeling it" on our way back.

All in all a good day a GoodGym.
