Take part in the world’s largest wildlife survey on 25-27 January and do something great for nature. Just choose one hour any time over the three days and enjoy time with nature counting birds and other species you see.

This may not be a physical task, but nature is proven to be good for our mental well being and health. So let's doing something to make a difference to nature! Here's how:

As a group we're going to walk through Sefton Park on Saturday before our final litter pick and do the count together. We'll meet up at Gino's cafe in the heart of the park. There is plenty of support materials online (see below), and I can also bring guides etc to help with identification.

Things to remember: - Only count the birds that land in the park, not those flying over. - Count the most birds that land at any one time – not the total number you count over the hour. (Otherwise you could be counting the same bird more than once!) - Submit your results even if you saw nothing. It is still very useful information! - Share what you've seen on social media - the RSPB's twitter and FB pages, plus Goodgym's as well! - Submit your results online by 11 February 2020 at www.rspb.org.uk/birdwatch using the code BH30. It is quick, easy and the savings made on postage costs help the RSPB to spend more on conservation. More information check RSPB website.. Note that you do NOT have to set up an online account, but if you do, you can opt out of any forms of communication - but then you won't hear of results from this year's count!
