Island House Community Centre were in touch at the start of the year, to ask us for a hand sprucing up the centre.
We return to the Island House Community Centre this week, in an attempt to COMPLETE the decorating!
This is the fourth in a series of tasks with the Centre, who are looking forward to hosting regular GoodGym evenings.
Tonight we will be divided into small groups to cover a number of activities, including:
Dismantling the cupboard outside the hall
Painting the stairwells and main hall, and other brickwork, with masonry paint
…And if there’s time, heading outside to the garden!
Timings and what to bring
We are starting tonight’s task at 7:30pm; the pre-task workout will start at 7:10pm.
Please wear old clothes, suitable for painting.
Please bring your own gloves if you have them.
The pre-task workout will be taking place at St John’s Gardens, on the corner of Manchester Road and Plevna Street (please do not confuse this with St John McDougal Gardens, also located on the Island).
If you would like to join for the task-only, the address is Island House Community Centre, Roserton Street, Isle of Dogs, London E14 3PG. More location details can be found on the Community Centre’s website here.
