GoodGym Member Marianne is a professional fitness trainer and run coach with a passion for supporting beginners into running and encouraging communities to come together to enjoy running and outdoor activities. She successfully secured funding from This Girl Can to run couch to 5K programme for women in Liverpool for free and a few of our GoodGym members taking part too to get going on their running goals.
We are delighted to be able to support Marianne once again and all the fabulous new runners by helping out at their graduation and medal ceremony.
The women will be running a timed 5K along the waterfront for their first full 5K, our job will mainly be to run with them as running buddies, helping to cheer them along and keep them going! Last time one of the participants said that she would never have made it for the full 5K had it not been for GoodGymer Jo supporting her, so it's a great chance to pass on the love of running (and GoodGym!) For anyone not wanting to run that would still like to take part there are other tasks such as marshalling and cheering at the finish line too.
