Shovels at the ready!

Back in the winter we helped the Ingestre TRA clear their allotment space ready for a revamp.

Many hours we’re spent dealing with rotten wood piles and compost heaps tangled with tree roots. Over the summer new raised beds from British Recycled Plastic have been constructed and filled with compost. The residents are already growing loads of fruit and vegetables in them!

There are a few tasks that need finishing off, over the next couple of community missions we’ll be shovelling compost to fill some raised beds that have been relocated on the Easte near the nursery. We’ll also be looking at the rain water harvesting bench and composting area.
