It will mobilise people in Leeds and build a community of people who would like to act for Climate Justice

The Big One - Environmental Action led by Extinction Rebellion and partnered with Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, Viva, Global Justice Now, Fuel Poverty Action and so many more... Extinction Rebellion have quit direct action and none of the action will be arrestable. Activities designed to form connections and encourage participation will take place throughout the streets of Westminster until 20:00 each day. More details and exact event times will be announced. We would like to spread the news of the upcoming environmental action in London by leafletting in Leeds (whilst running/walking).

The Climate Emergency Centre also aim to build a community of people in Leeds who share concerns for the Climate, so we don't feel so alone. There are a number of ways to get involved in outreach which don't include jogging/running, so get in touch if you'd like to be involved in any other ways!

One way we plan to do this is "Run and Flyer" sessions; these sessions can be tailored to the needs of then volunteers. We have A6 flyers that we want to distribute efficiently directly to the general public and in public spaces (with consent). We also have some posters that we would like to see in lots of public spaces (i.e. shops, bars and clubs with their consent). I am happy to have a video call or phone call with people interested so we can come up with a plan we're all comfortable with!

The plan will be to run at the pace accessible to everyone in the group. If there are a lot of us, we can split up into groups and take areas of the city.
