A group of local beach lovers that are campaigning to raise awareness and action to protect our beaches and green spaces. Our aim is to educate, encourage and empower individuals, communities and businesses to reduce, reuse, recycle or properly dispose rubbish so our beaches, green spaces and seas can be clean and tidy for everyone to enjoy.

The GoodGym January Challenge is back! From the 1st to the 31st of January, across the country, we are going to walk, run and cycle to complete as many good deeds as we can!

The Green Runners invited Brighton GoodGymers to take part in a plogging (litter-pick running) session to keep our outdoors clean while showcasing how the joint action of a green team can make a meaningful difference to the local environment where we all love to run.

There is certainly no shortage of litter to pick on our seafront and beaches during this stormy January.

It's filmed and supported by the London Marathon Events. And, this is a Good training towards a Greener Brighton Marathon ;-)

How Good is this?

GoodGym Brighton is gamed for the January Challenge!

Welcome Challenger!

All good deeds and distance you record on Strava will go towards our community target of 4500 good deeds, and 60,000km covered nationwide.

If ever there was a reason to join us, this is it 🙌.

And, don't forget to log on all your good deeds on your GoodGym profile and your run-kms on your Strava profile/club GoodGym to participate in the January Challenge. HERE's how to.

Are you on a mission to do a 5K parkrun or even a marathon during 2026?

Mine is just to keep up with running together with my GoodGym mates :-). Here are some tips on how to move from the Couch to 5Kto gradually work up towards running 5km in just 9 weeks to run with us at our local parkruns.

Happy GoodGym-ing!
