Forest School Allotment
A demonstration garden to help Primary aged children and children with additional needs to understand the food cycle.

The Forest School allotment at St John’s, together with their resident goats, rabbits and chickens, need our help with a few tasks to get ready for summer. Come along and get a good gardening workout (plus time with Salt and Pepper the therapy goats and the lovely rabbits and chickens)!

  • Greenhouse Goals: Help us lay weed membranes and finish the look with a fresh layer of pebbles.
  • School Front Refresh: We’re tackling edging, a brand-new planter project, and more membrane work to keep the entrance looking sharp.
  • The H2O Special: A triple-threat challenge to reinstall three water butts for the garden.

And we will help also help Richard at St John's School with the following tasks:

  • Waterproof coat all 4 sides of a wooden shed, it's about 6 metres across and is broadly square. It is bare wood and the waterproof coat would then enable the mural to be painted on.
  • If we had time/the school agrees then we could do the coating on the front of the metal shed as a primer layer

We will meet at the Quaker Centre at 6.30pm and run 2.5km there and 2.5km run back. We will meet at the front of St John's School at 7pm to assign tasks. There is an access at the back of the school to the Forest School and I will list the address in case anyone is late.

St John's School Address: St John's School, Portland Road, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey KT1 2SG. Please let me know if you are intending to meet us there.

Forest School Address The Forest School entrance at the back of St John's School (Three Bridges Path). The what3words location is //proven.villa.lives
