Date and time

Who this task will support
Merton's Community Fridge
Sustainable Merton is proud to bring to you Merton’s Community Fridge, which aims to redistribute to the Merton community surplus food from local businesses and food growers, ultimately stopping tonnes of good quality food from going to waste.

Note that the session starts at 7pm. The listing shows 6.30pm as this is the meeting time if you are joining the group walk/run beforehand (further details below).

We will be supporting both the team at Merton's Community Fridge and Morden Baptist church so bring a friend as many hands are needed and beginners are always welcome.

Job 1 is cleaning/tidying the kitchen area. Job 2 sorting/organising items at the Fridge.

Ideally we will split into 2 smaller teams and do what we can of the jobs in the list. A briefing will be provided on arrival. No special skills needed, just a willingness get stuck in and let us know if any adjustments (eg you prefer to avoid heavy lifting, etc) are needed.

Walk/run details: meeting point at 6.30pm is The Leather Bottle, 277 Kingston Road, London SW19 3NW - distance will be 2-3km. We then have our monthly social afterwards so there won't be a walk/run back.

We encourage you to walk/run/cycle to the session if you are meeting there at 7pm (address in listing) and get your km's on the board for the January challenge.

On arrival please come to the back entrance door which is accessible from the car park at the rear of the church (entrance on Grasmere Avenue).
