A key base building session for those training for the Camino London Ultra 50km, but also available for anyone looking for a varied workout:
Week 6: Out and Back: Threshold Effort
10-15 minutes out and back at threshold pace (75-80% effort)
Run 10 min out in one direction at hard but manageable effort (still breathing efficiently, could talk to someone if required).
As soon as 10 min elapses, turn round and run back, attempting to match the same time and effort.
If your first leg was faster than the second, then you went out too hard.
If your second leg was faster than your first, then you were too cautious.
