The Baffins Pond Association have made space in their compound for a GoodGym bug hotel - think Park Lane for insects!
We'll be constructing sections and cavities in a pallet and filling it with hollow twigs, pine cones and dark moist spaces - ideal environments for insects to rest and nest.
Tasks will include sawing bamboo canes into short sections, separating twigs from pine cones, stuffing and stacking.
Bring any materials you have been collecting. If you have your own small container, you can create your own bug hotel to take home, as long as we have enough material to fill it!
This task follows on after the Baffins litter pick. You can do both tasks, or just come along for this one.
