It was a warm summer's day as the carnival committee arrived on site to start setting up the Community Carnival. Volunteers arrived on site from 10am and were allocated set up tasks.
The gates opened at 12pm and it had turned into a hot day by the time the community arrived. Car Park duties, handing out programmes, selling animal food and donkey rides, providing water to the stall holders, directing people and helping out where needed were all taken in hand by a group of volunteers including Jen, Clare and two of Clare's clients.
It was a busy, lively, colourful and noisy day and we played our part in bringing the community together.

GG members braved the warm weather to get stuck into a de-weeding task for the community allotment at Raggy Rd Allotment.
we spent an hour and a half de-cluttering the pathways of weeds make the area look more beautiful for the community users.

I was the only Goodgymmer to join a small Friends of Haymill turnout for this months work party.
The main job was to cut back the unwieldy brambles, nettles, leaves, grass and branches that was encroaching onto the path. This of course resulted in lots of hidden litter being revealed so a litterpick was also undertaken by those of us with inner Wombles....
