Smarty plants

Sheila and I were outnumbered by non GG volunteer Friends of Ray Mill Island today. Whilst Sheila got stuck in to sorting the donated plants by type, I joined a small team moving wooden boards from the paddleboarders round to the nursery.

Next we all relocated to the kiosk and rockery areas where Shoshan had placed plants in pots ready for us to plant them in the ground and water them. With a bit of weeding the Heliotrope it was a very green fingered session.

Springing forward at Riverside Family Hub

This was our first Wednesday night GoodGym session since the clocks went forward and it was lovely to enjoy daylight for nearly all of the task!

We got straight to work tackling some weeding, two overgrown buddleia, a wildflower bed, and a very wild rosemary bush.

By the end of the session we'd filled several large green bags with the cuttings from our pruning efforts, and thanks to the rosemary it was one of the best smelling tasks we've ever done!
