A totally social task, found some path hiding under some grass bindweed pulled, bagged and culled, finished off with free food at ClubHaus

Visited Mr M a day later as it had been raining consistently on Sunday and upon arrival we agreed that the grass was too wet to cut.
This gave me an excuse to tackle the hedge from the road side which had been drawing complaints from neighbours resulting in a letter from the council.
It was great fun cutting one side back as high as I could reach on Mr M’s ladder and will hopefully be able to have a go along the other road side and also the garden side in the coming weeks 👍

We were all over the maze, cutting edges, tidying and weeding the garden beds. The sun teared through the grey skies, the last bits of it as Autumn turns. A respectable spread of refreshments was on offer. Barney was happy with the tidying, and Good-gymers were rewarded with a raffle from the refreshments bag.

Great weather this Saturday for chopping back the overgrowth in preparation for winter.
We had Sophie join us as they wanted to learn how to scythe. However I think we may have been hustled , as they took too it like a natural.
Before we knew it, time was up and we had cleared back loads of brambles!
Back again next month!

A general tidy up today at Manor Valley Woods. Our group split into several smaller teams and tackled the brambles in the new and old orchards, and cleared the path up to the rabbit field.
A wide selection of tools was employed - shears, garden fork .. and loppers.
We finished with one of the last bottles of MVW apple juice
