About the task

We're back to a former multistorey carpark which has been transformed into a thriving community garden to help their volunteers with various jobs. We come to the garden every month to help out. The beautiful garden is used by local people who may not have access to outside space to grow fruit and vegetables.

We'll be doing a short fitness session afterwards. Don't forget there is nowhere to store bags. On our runs there is a back marker and nobody is ever left behind. If you'd prefer to meet us at the task we'll be at the garden on Doddington Square at 18:50.

Post run there will be the option of joining the group for a quiz at a local pub - all welcome!

We always have a back-marker so no-one is left behind - we're about achieving something together so you'll always be welcome no matter what your pace is. Don't forget there is nowhere to store bags.

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Anastasia Hancock (she/her) by email at ana@goodgym.org.

Options are available to run between 4km and 5km in total.

Remember that we will be running to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.

GoodGym is a community of people that get fit by doing good. We run, walk and cycle to do practical tasks for community organisations and isolated older people.
