About the task

Come along to the clothes swap and help the residents of York reuse and recycle their unwanted clothes. We help sort clothes as they come in, put them out on the rails and usually run the cafe as well. This is a great community task, a really positive atmosphere and lots of steps if you count those kinds of things 😁.

I tend to do the community woodland parkrun first and then jog over and people are welcome to join me.

The task is listed for 10-11.30 but the swap runs 9-12 so feel free to join us a little bit later or leave early if you can't do the whole 90mins.

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs

This session is organised by your Taskforce, a group of experienced GoodGym members in your area. They are not responsible for your safety. You should feel confident to participate in the session as it is described and you do so at your own risk.

GoodGym is a community of people that get fit by doing good. We run, walk and cycle to do practical tasks for community organisations and isolated older people.
