About the task

ONLY SIGN UP HERE IF YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE AN ACCOUNT WITH FOODCYCLE AND SIGNED UP FOR A SLOT ON THEIR WEBSITE (link to check is at the bottom of this page)
This project aims to reduce food waste, gives lonely people a place to meet others and provides a meal to anyone in need.
Volunteers can help by collecting surplus food from the supermarket (you will need a car), designing and cooking the menu, or hosting (which involves setting up the tables, chatting with guests, serving the food and drinks, and clearing up afterwards).
The different roles you can volunteer for are available at different times, so you can choose whichever one works best for you. You will see full information and will need to sign up for a slot on the FoodCycle volunteer portal. These are:
Food collection 14:30 - 15:45,
Cooking Team 15:45 - 19:00,
Early Hosting 17:00 - 20:00
Pot Washer 17:00 - 20:00
Late Hosting 18:00 - 20:00
Before you sign up here on GoodGym YOU MUST sign up on the FoodCycle or you may be turned away.

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs

This session is organised by your Taskforce, a group of experienced GoodGym members in your area. They are not responsible for your safety. You should feel confident to participate in the session as it is described and you do so at your own risk.

GoodGym is a community of people that get fit by doing good. We run, walk and cycle to do practical tasks for community organisations and isolated older people.
