The Love Luton RunFest is coming up, and for Luton's biggest running event some roads will be closed, so it was our task this evening to run a long section of the route and deliver letters informing the residents of the details of the road closure.
With walkers and runners on the task the walkers started in town and delivered their way out, while the runners ran out and started delivering they way back into town. Meeting in the middle with all the houses notified we declared the task complete and returned to the start point.
Saturday 20th September
Abdulrahman Mohammed earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Abdulrahman completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Abdulrahman was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

This morning on World Clean Up day 3 GoodGymers joined the South Luton Litter Pick, and while the community group started on picking the litter Gill, Aiman and Omar tackled the leafy suckers that were creating a hazard across the pavement. Leaf-ing the tree in a much less hazardous state we then started on relieving ( or re-leafing) London Road of the many piles leaves and weeds that have accumulated. It was great to be joined by Abdullah and Abdulrahman who are our latest GoodGym recruits. The South Luton Group were overwhelmed by our leaf cleaning prowess! Well done !
Wednesday 17th September

We welcomed some new faces to Goodgym this week, with Aiman, Abdulrahman and Abdullah joining the team.
Our task for the evening involved running all the way up the hill through Capability Green to the big "Welcome to Luton" gravel sign that welcomes drivers from the motorway. We were there to pull out the weeds and tidy up the lettering to make sure it all looks neat and tidy.
With light fading fast under the thick clouds we worked rapidly to make our improvements and when done, moved on to a quick breathing exercise in Stockwood Park, ran a lap of the rugby pitch, and then descended down the hill back into town to call it a night 🌙
