Hi everyone and welcome to GoodGym Greenwich!
We're a friendly and social group who combine running with volunteering in the local community. We meet every Wednesday to get active and do a physical task for charities and community organisations in the area. This week we're joining forces with GoodGym Bexley for something a little different!
This week's extra special session!
This week we've got a treat. We've done some work in the woodlands of the Memorial Hospital to spread woodchip in a clearing that's been created for mindfulness sessions, bonfires and time to connect with nature for patients and staff in the hospital. This week, Creative Nature HQ and Oxleas in Bloom are putting on a special session for us to enjoy - see below for all the juicy details!
Join us for immersive sessions in the woodland area at Memorial Hospital, where nature meets ancient craft and mindfulness.
Whatโs On Offer?
The Run
Our run this week will nearly 3km each way and we will be running up shooters hill on the way there. Everyone is welcome at any pace - we never leave anyone behind! You're welcome to meet at the task if you don't fancy the run!
Where & When
We will meet slightly earlier at 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start at Charlton House on the corner of Hornfair Road. The what three words location is "army.rips.spicy". Give Rachel a call on 07952192005 if you can't find us!
If you'd like to meet at the task, you're very welcome to do so! We will be there about 7.20pm. The address is the Memorial Hospital, Shooters Hill Road, SE18 3RG and we will meet in car park B. The what-three-words location is "scar.stale.goals".
The session will be about 90 minutes in total so we should be all wrapped up by 8.30pm.
What To Bring
Please bring some gloves if you have some, otherwise it's just yourself!
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Rachel Henry by email at rachelhenry@goodgym.org.
Area Activator at GoodGym Greenwich. I love community and getting to know all the great initiatives and people that make it what it is!
