About this session

Welcome to GoodGym Liverpool

We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every Monday evening to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects across Liverpool.

Most Group Runs will be lead one of our fabulous volunteer qualified Run Leaders, but watch out for ones listed as 'Social Runs' as this means no Run Leader is present but we still go out and run together keeping our 'no one left beind' GoodGym vibe in place!

The Task

Vicky (Litter-Clear Volunteer) has asked us back to plant some daffodil bulbs around the Luggage Trolley art installation on the corner of Tunnel Road / Earle Road.

All tools will be provided but please bring your own gloves! While the evenings are dark please also bring a head/chest torch and wear your running hi viz!

The Run

We'll be meeting at the Suitcases for 6:30pm on Hope Street for a warm up and a run to the task. What 3 Words meet up link

Non runners will meet at the task location for 6:55pm. Please leave a comment on this listing or in our WhatsApp group to let us know if you are running or meeting us there. https://what3words.com/prove.heap.digs

This task supports

Litter Clear-Volunteer (LCV) , a campaign aimed at turning untidy greens into welcoming community spaces and general litter clearing in the L7, L8 and L15 area of Liverpool. Taking requests from communities and making positive changes to reclaim abandoned green spaces. Absolutely everyone will benefit from a cleaner and greener environment. Neighbours and friends, It's time to take pride in your area.

Dark task
Dark task

The area you are working in may be in darkness which could cause a risk of trips or concealed hazards.

This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Ema Quinn (She/her) by email at ema@goodgym.org.

Options are available to run between 2km and 4km in total.

Remember that we will be running to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.

Sorry folks, hopefully you already know from the WhatsApp chat, but tonight is cancelled as the ground is too waterlogged to plant anything and the concensus has been to have a night off rather than a soggy litterpick. See you at next week's task xx
