Woking News….

A big cheer for Wayne who reached his 💯 good deed, and what a great task to do.

On this scorching 🥵 evening Holly,James, Wayne, Ann, Katie, Adam, and Liviu met at the Knaphill Community Fridge to carry out some painting tasks.

James, Adam, and Liviu met at WWF and ran along the canal. Holly ran from home while Anne and Katie met along the canal and Wayne came straight from work and ran around Knaphill.

Once at the community fridge we met a lovely lady named Jules who kindly provided water bottles for us all. She then told us how the community fridge work and how it’s a vital and important program for the community and surrounding area’s and how they have managed to keep going and serving people through the pandemic to now and how food was being donated by supermarkets and local businesses it was wonderful to hear.😀

The task itself was to paint the shed and the sleepers for the bedding plants as well as clearing the bedding. We split up in 2 teams and got cracking Wayne, Katie, and Anne tackled the shed while Holly, James, Adam, and Liviu attended the sleepers and bedding 🪴

In no time we had finished with the sun 🌞 still beaming down on us.

Once finished the boys headed to the pub for a cold beverage 🍻while the rest jogged home for Dinner.

This Sunday James will be making his run director debut at the Junior Park Run 🏃🏾‍♂️. James has gone through vigorous training and it would be great to have as many GG Members as we can to support him…

See you all soon…☀️

Regards

Wayne
