Our group run took us to Refugee Action Kingston where we joined Bassam to help paint their office. It was looking tired and needed sprucing up to make it more welcoming for the refugees and support services they use. The furniture had already been moved and covered with plastic sheeting so we got straight to task.

Dave and Claire went round the room filling the holes from previous shelves. Emily and Adam started with rollers and brushes in the meeting room, whilst Tom, Rachel and Jade started the reception area.

The hour flew by as we were determined to do as much as we could in the hour. We made a great start and we'll be back on Saturday to help do another coat.

Thanks for the danish pastries! Looking forward to pizza on Saturday.

We support refugees and those seeking asylum in their journey to integrate in the local community

We have been up and "running" for over 30 years, supporting those seeking sanctuary in Kingston and neighbouring boroughs to restart their lives. We support with all aspects of integration, from legal advice and advocacy, through to education and employment. Last year, we supported over 1,300 clients to help them live their best lives possible here in Kingston.
