Mr R is currently unhappy in hospital so GoodGym were tasked with making space for a hospital bed in his flat so he could come home.

We arrived to be greeted by his wife who was deaf and mute, so armed with a pen and paper, we introduced ourselves and went to see the room that the hospital bed needed to fit into.

Ms R was a bit nervous at first, but we soon found our rhythm and were frantically writing down notes, moving shoe boxes behind doors, moving chairs around and making sure the cupboards and drawers were still accessible.

The real challenge was the sitting room, as there wasn't really much wiggle room. However, we soon realised two of the units could fit behind the sofa and everything could sort of fit where they had been. Ms R was a bit worried that she wouldn't be able to live with such an empty room, but we explained that once the hospital bed was in, things could be moved back to where they were.

Right at the end of the mission, there was a bit of a commotion as Ms R realised that her kitten was under the sofa that we'd just moved. We all held our breath, extremely nervous that we may have killed a cat... but thankfully no animal was harmed in the making of this mission.

About 12 pages of our notebook later, we waved goodbye to a very happy Ms R.
