This week we had world environment day, global running day and its also volunteer day. As working from home this week, could do runs locally in my park and take my weapon of choice...litterpick that folds and fits in my running bag. So started on Sunday with a litter pick at Cuckoo park at the Tiny Forrest survey. Thursday litter pick after my run in the evening near my flat. This run was not usual as I spotted something else : a lady on the floor in the wet grass and trying to sit up. I went to her and help her get to bench and asked her questions to see if she was OK...obviously not the case and not making sense. I was about to call 999 when her phone rang and I answered as she could not. It was her daughter who was looking for her. Told her the location and she came with her husband. Understood she was having issues which I won't mention and they were worried. They took her back home by car as live not far from the park. She was safe with her family and not anymore on wet grass in a park in the evening. After a while I carried on my running then litter picked. Friday evening went for small run with my weapons and even the black cat in the park was looking at the rubbish left with disguss. Left a bag near the canal for people to drop their cans in as a popular spot to drink as hidden away from the main path of the park.
