Great work by the team of 13 GoodGymers clearing the tape from a newly-established footpath at Aston's Eyot, clearing litter, and lopping back overhanging branches along the main path. Wonderful to see everyone work so enthusiastically despite it being a soggy evening!

To the tune of 'My Favourite Things'

...with apologies to Julie Andrews.

Raindrops on noses and litter in bushes
Bright handled loppers for cutting down branches
Large bags of camping kit tied up with string
These are a few of our Wednesday night things

Red and white hazard tape moved from the woodland
Bottles and plastic and cans by the dozen
Lopping team working to open the path
These are a few of our Wednesday night Tasks

Team in red T shirts and waterproof jackets
Drizzle that stays on the nose and eyelashes
Silvery ashes from fires by the stream
These will be haunting our Wednesday night dreams

When the tape's gone
When the nettle stings
When we've cleared the path
We gather the litter to leave by the bin
And then we all feel quite proud.

Welcome to Chris who did his first GoodGym Good Deed with us last night!
