Louise at Greenfields Garden has a never ending list of tasks.

Tonight it was all about the mulch as we carried bin bags full of leaves (leaves we had gathered ourselves from nearby Clarence Gardens in November) from the front entrance to the mulching pits at the back

The bags ranged from light and airy to sodden and stinky.

Huw, Max and I worked on rotating mulch, emptying the contents of the front bins into the back to make space for all the new leaves.

Everybody else carried all the bags over and then set to work turning the compost bins. Amy T immediately broke a fork from vigorous compost turning so she came over to join Max in throwing full bags of mulch at Huw and I in the pits.

With all the compost turned

We completed the task absolutely stinking of mulch but happy to have done a little bit of good!

Help shift road chippings to lay a new track at The Land Haxby CIC
🗓Today 3:00pm

This will improve the access to a dedicated green space for autistic children and young adults . Many struggle to leave the home due to high anxiety. This wild place can give them to space to relax and garden with their families.
