In the words of legendary Leanne, "I was early and everyone else was super early". Just a sign that after a long hiatus of strictly essential missions GG are raring to get back to being useful.

Cara, Katie, Leanne and newbie Jennifer (Go give her a cheer for finally being allowed to start her New Year's resolution of joining GG!) Were let loose on the pond enclosure of Park Grove Academy's wildlife area. Jennifer, Cara and Leanne set to clearing all the exuberant weeds and unintended tree saplings from around the pond while Katie set to sweeping the arborial debris and tried to befriend a local robin.

Leanne's experience paid off as debates over tree saplings popped up as often as the seedling. After a while Katie switched to stick fishing (using a stick to catch a stick) in the pond and also caught a few bonus pieces.of rubbish.

After an hour we left a job well done and were rewarded with socially distanced hot beverages to warm up before heading off to enjoy the rest of the bank holiday.
