Braving the Baltic conditions, I made my way through Richmond Park to meet Mrs A for a social visit. We chatted for an hour or so over a cup of tea about getting old, cats, walks along the riverside and tracing back our family trees. The time went by quickly, and before I knew it I had to leave the warmth of Mrs A’s flat to get back on my bike in the wintery weather outside. It was a good excuse to get me out on a cold day, when staying inside tucked under a blanket would have been preferable, and Mrs A certainly enjoyed the company for the afternoon.
