Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Kash
It might have been the second Ms P of Islington a pair of West London GoodGymers helped this Saturday, after completing an earlier task, but the story of each older person supported by GoodGym is different. What links all of them is that every beneficiary of our missions faces a challenge and our team is there to assist them in seemingly simple tasks which may have an impact we often underestimate.
It was a tough two years for Ms P who suffered loss, mistreatment and the prospect of losing her home in short succession. Having to move to another location, Ms P hired a couple of garages she slowly moved her items into for temporary storage. She admitted that throughout the years, she had accumulated a lot of things she had a hard time parting with, including the mementoes of her late mum. Moving some of the items turned out to be a two-person job - and here's where the GoodGymers stepped in.
Sevan and Kash visited Islington for their third task of the day to help Ms P:
All those small tasks were straightforward for the GoodGymers but made a difference for Ms P in her endeavour to relocate.
