On Saturday one runner helped close down the Parkrun event at Preston Park Parkrun. After running a wet and blustery Parkrun and watching the last of the 594 runners and walkers cross the finish line I helped dismantle the event with other volunteers. My task was disassembling the finish funnel, storing the equipment and learning how to carefully fold the volunteer bibs. It's amazing how big an event quietly disappears within a few minutes of finishing and everything goes back to being a normal park.
