What a fantastic Sunday morning! 8 GoodGymers and Exe Nordic Walkers did a litter-pick in Riverside Valley Park and filled 8 bin liners with rubbish.

It was a warm and sunny morning when 5 Exe Nordic Walkers ad 3 GoodGymers met up in Riverside Valley park to do a community litter-pick.

We started off with a safety briefing and a little chat about what GoodGym does and the many ways in which we get fit by doing good. Sue, the leader of Exe Nordic Walkers, also told us about British Nordic Walking and the many sessions she leads in Exeter. Definitely worth checking out, it sounds great!

We then divided ourselves in two teams and set off picking litter on both sides of the river.

It was incredible how much we got done in 45 minutes!

We filled 8 bin liners with everything from cans, bottles, a bike tire, old toys and a towel, cardboard boxes, crisp bags, cigarette buds and plastic wrappers... Great work team! Also very lovely that so many members of the public thanked us as they walked past.

To finish with I want to give Paul, Guin, Kirstie, Louiseand Sue a BIG CHEER for having completed your first GoodGym session! We hope you enjoyed it and will come back soon for some more doing good and getting fit!

Also a BIG SHOUT OUT to our lovely Camden GG tourist Sally and to our very own Craig who both have smashed 3 good deeds this week. Fantastic work!

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day! Take a look here for your next GoodGym session.
