Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Gill (She/her)
It was lovely meeting Mrs R, she seemed really pleased to see me, and made me feel so welcome. She pointed me in the direction of the tolls and explained that the hedge at the front of the house had got a little out of hand. We had a lovely chat about how things had been for her, but then it was time to get down to some work. It was actually quite fun to have a challenge to deal with and to work out how much of the hedge I could actually neaten up in my hour and a half's session. With lopers, trimmers and some shears it was quite fun to attack the hedge and show it who was boss, and although there is still some work to do on tidying up the front garden Mrs R was pleased with the impact I had made. 5 large refuse bags filled up and piled by the gate ready for collection, a gate that can now open (once the bags are moved) and the beginning of access to the path. NOt bad for a quick GoodGym session.
