We had a top crew of Goodgym folk at a new task location tonight! Fran of Octopus Communities (who has hosted our Market Road Gardens tasks in the past) invited us to a lovely plant nursery behind McCall House, Tufnell Park. They are running a great operation here, preparing a mix of garden plants and vegetables for local food banks and neighbourhood garden projects.

Our tasks tonight involved fixing up and rearranging the space ready for local gardening groups to come back to the project. They do the gardening, we do the lifting, digging and wheelbarrowing!

Danny and Kat swept up all of the dust and mud off the work surfaces and the surrounding area. Quite a lot of this has built up over the last few months, so the pair masked up to avoid breathing in the fumes. They smashed it- the space looked good as new by the end of the evening!

Sally, John and Trainer Simon took on some moving, lifting and wheelbarrowing work. Firstly, we constructed a place holder for a junior planting bed using heavy planks. We then started to fill up a collection of large pots with rich compost and potting soil, ready for new plants. Our job then involved moving lots of pots, pallets and bags of compost to different locations to free up space for future visitors.

Awesome work everyone. Very satisfying task, well done!
