Monday 23rd March
Report written by Tom Mutton (he/him)
Well this was an interesting one!
We met with Claire the Vicar on site at St Mary's church and got tooled up with spades and ho's to starting the turning over of a piece of land on the graveyard ready for planting of wild flowers.
It was really tough going but we gave it our best and turned over a good section of grass on the site ready for future planting.
St Mary's church behind us was beautifully lit and provided a wonderful backdrop for the evening.
We were visited by a couple of local Bobby's on bikes who at first must have thought we were grave robbers but soon realized we were up to good and not no good.
Until next time, happy running! :)
brings joy to all who pass through the inner city green space, brings bio diversity to the urban area. The green space around the church is sued as a refuge from city living, a quite place to enjoy the outdoors or to be with friends. It is a very busy space.
