In a rare appearance, Sam found himself at Borough Food Cooperative due to a free half day from his full time role.

The usual suspects were there: Ceiling and Adam (coordinator at Borough Food Cooperative) when Sam arrived slightly late. They were finishing packing up food containers of Lasagna and fries! What a combo! Carb on carb - a runner's dream for carb loading a night before a big race.

With their gloves still on, they continued onto wrapping bread and bagging pastries that were kindly given by Gail's bakery. During this task, they were joined by another Borough Food Cooperative volunteer, Helen.

The third task of the afternoon was to sort out through the delivery the Food Cooperative had received earlier in the day. Placing the bread, veggies and fruits in the yellow crates and all the other items in the red and pink crates.

Our final task was to assist Adam to what Ceiling heard as "New York Deli", but after buying some baby wipes from a local Sainsbury's and venturing into Borough Market, it turns out "New York Deli" ended up being "Neal's Yard Dairy". Where we were kindly given/donated milk and creams. From here, we made it to a Tesco Express to obtain some more baby wipes and dates for Eid Mubarak.

It's always a pleasure to spend an afternoon helping out and it was great to see Adam and Ceiling again!
