On a beautiful sunny bank holiday, 5 of us went to St Nicks to help with their wildflower meadow restoration. The main aim was to dig out and flip over squares of grass to expose better soil (I think, I had an admittedly hazy head due to yesterdays celebrations...). We then scarified the ground and planted some wildflower seeds. The aim was to dig out squares and connect them together to make a large area for wildflowers.

Of course the first task is to actually get to St Nicks, which proved a challenge for some people.

However we all eventually made it to the task and were straight on it. Big welcome to Katherine who came on her first task today; give her a cheer! We also caught up with Jonathon, who we haven't seen in ages!

Whilst it was slightly challenging to connect our plots due to social distancing, we eventually managed to dig up a large enough area to start planting seeds. After an hours graft, we finished the task and can enjoy the rest of todays sunshine.
