The rain cleared nicely and GG wax joined by 3 surfers against sewage members. This time we tackled the verges on the Portway side that had accumulated alot of litter. With great enthusiasm we filled 5 clear and 5 green bags between us and some large objects. Looking back we coikd see the verge back to its natural greeness glistening under the suspension bridge. Thank you surfers against sewage

Yeah that title doesn’t make much sense, but anyway…
Today we were finishing off the task we started last time we were here. Cutting ivy and other undergrowth away from the fence (which was put there in the 1930s for fans of facts - the fence not the ivy) so that it can be repaired.
After an hour ish of enthusiastic snipping we downed tools and had some tea, coffee and biscuits before heading on our way. A great task where you can really see the difference afterwards (though maybe not from my photos).
Until next time…

The ivy was maybe taking a fence but we took offence to this. Our task today was to clear the ivy away from the fence around the church. Armed with a plethora of tools on a gloriously not rainy morning we set to work. A lot of chopping, pulling and chatting and time flew by. A lovely new location for a task and after a quick break for assorted hot drinks and biscuits we had a final chop. Done!
Congratulations to Melanie on her 400th parkrun at Ashton Court just before the task (and Darren on his 450th)
Until next time…

A Fantastic day greeting us on the Avon for our monthy surface against sewage. Mark our fantastic host greeted us with his 2 barrels. Welcome to Molly for her first GG good deed 👏. We scaled the banks collecting recyclable and non recyclables. A large cabin bag was our largest find today. A great job keeping our Avon cleaner for all to enyoy🌄

A lovely morning greated the GG team with host Mark from Surfers against Sewage. We tackled a section of the high grass verges and soon we filled multiple bags. Today's star find was a one eared horse. We barrowed are goodies back to the pick up point before a final photo. Then we trotted off to the garden centre for coffee and treats. Great work everyone 👍

A beautiful day greeted us on the banks of the Avon for out monthly surfers against sewage. The grass was long but we used our pickers to wade through to discover a host of litter. So much large hard plastic was collected today. We did the 2 barrow load rubbish trek back to the drop off point and then after a final snap we were of to the Waterside cafe for some home made goodies. Did Emma buy another rose? Great work everyone it makes such a difference 👏
