We were blessed with a gloriously sunny morning for our task to help at the Hillfields community garden today. We were quickly assigned a variety of tasks which included:- weeding planters, planting new seeds into pots, rolling tyres, wheelbarrowing rubble and having a good natter as we went. The hour whizzed by and we left the park with the area looking much cleaner, clearer and greener than when we arrived. Result!
Thanks so much for joining me this morning. We will be back at the foodbank in April so keep your eyes peeled for the listing.
Saturday 4th March
Elle Pemberton earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Elle completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Elle was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Three keen GoodGymers made it out to the riverbanks along the Avon Gorge to pick litter with Mark from Surfers against sewage. We started off at a patch that looked surprisingly clean but only because Mark had been clearing up the area a month before. Moving along the Pill path back towards town we still manage to fill 5 big bags of rubbish and recycling which wasn't unnoticed by passersby who cheered us on and thanks us for doing this good deed. We will be back in two weeks time!
Well done everyone!
Tuesday 21st February

Congratulations to Elle who is now Mission Verified. They're now ready to start running GoodGym missions to help older people and running alone to community mission. Give Elle a cheer to kickstart their mission running career.

It was fabulous to see two new people signed up to our group run and even better that they came along to Queen Square and found us!
Elle was already sporting her GG t-shirt whilst Vian opted for the more incognito approach.
Soon the runners were setting off for a "longer" run around the harbour and across to Southville whilst the walking group beat them there, even with the bridge still being closed.
We don't know how anyone could have had something better things to do on Valentine's night during half term but we were up for painting and chatting and sweeping and chatting.
The posts were looking slick in charcoal black and the benches smooth chocolate brown by the time we were packing up for the run/scoot back to Queen Square and reminders galore that The Party is on Saturday!
