The stage was set for - Mulch Ado About Nothing at the Globe (Place). A tale of two halves.
The 1st Act began in daylight and dry conditions, 8 players with spades and barrows transformed an area of weeds or was it coriander?!
As the light dimmed the rain blew in.
For the 2nd Act, a stage of leaves were cleared using rakes and magic super scoopers!
The players took their final curtain, and bid farewell to the appreciative crowd.
Thanks to the LTC Green Spaces for arranging this production.

At GoodGym we are celebrating This Girl Can's Move10 campaign - keeping things simple. 10 minutes of movement, 10 times over a month, in whatever way works for you.
"We are the movers and shakers of the world for ever."
It was our last Monday at Mousehold of the year, just before it gets too dark - but don't worry we're heading back for a few Saturday sessions if you missed out!
Always a favourite task - with 19 GoodGymers attending, Will lead us all to the area needing work. Pulling braken to allow other plant species to grow, and carrying piles across the heath.
We spread out into 3 areas, it was a very social evening and rewarding to see how much of difference it made!
Shout outs to Gemma, Rachel and Lizzie all completing their first Good Deed!
Will kindly treated us to some tasty snacks, which was a lovely way to finish the evening as the night drew in.
Dig out those headtorches for next week folks!

Tonight 9 GoodGymer's returned to Frere Road Community Centre to continue giving the exterior walls a fresh coat of paint.
Focusing on the front of the building we were given a new colour 'Cornish Cream' to brighten things up! Which led to the discussion - what do you spread on your scone first, cream or jam??
The dust sheets were laid out, and everyone spread out armed with rollers, brushes & step ladders for the hardest to reach areas. Woody also finished off the remaining white wall that we couldn't complete on our last visit.
Once we were finished it was time for a quick social and some birthday celebrations at the pub!
Thanks again to Claire for organising and cleaning all the tools for the task.

16 Goodgymers attended our Monday session to support our local warden Will, to care for Mousehold Heath, an important local habitat.
Will explained to the group the extent of a recent wild fire and all they were doing to reduce local fire risks.
We split into a 3 groups; one moving a drying pile of old bracken, one group bracken pulling, and one removing pockets of gorse and stumps to support fire engine access routes.
A very warm welcome to Eve and well done for joining your first GoodGym session.
